Hi, I’m Ayesha — a physical therapist, and the person behind The Motion Kind.
Credentials: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Bahria University Health Sciences Campus, 2024
My clinical background is a bit of a mixed bag, in a good way. I’ve worked across orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, women’s health, and intensive care, including placements at PNS Shifa Hospital and JPMC. That range means I’ve seen how a hip replacement recovery looks nothing like a stroke rehab plan, which looks nothing like helping a toddler hit a motor milestone, which looks nothing like the first cautious steps someone takes after weeks in the ICU. If there’s one thing that experience taught me, it’s that movement problems are rarely as simple as the internet makes them sound — and neither are the fixes.
I started The Motion Kind because I got tired of watching good, well-meaning people follow bad advice — the kind that sounds right, spreads fast, and has absolutely no evidence behind it. Here, you’ll get physio content that’s actually grounded in research, explained the way I’d explain it to a patient sitting across from me: clearly, without unnecessary jargon, and without pretending every problem has a one-size-fits-all fix. Expect practical breakdowns of common aches and injuries, honest takes on what actually helps (and what’s mostly marketing), and the occasional reminder that “evidence-based” doesn’t mean “boring.”
This is educational content, not a replacement for seeing your own physio or doctor — but if it helps you understand your body a little better in the meantime, it’s doing its job.
